Please follow marshal instructions at all times and be prepared to stop at junctions, crossing and roundabouts to give way to other road users, traffic and pedestrians.
The Kids Fun Run will be a 2-lap course around the field totalling 2.6km, with all runners starting together.
The course starts and finishes at Berkshire County Sports Club on Sonning Lane.
Sonning Lane will be closed for the start of the race when you will run to Sonning Church, before joining the River Thames footpath. There is a VERY narrow/single file section by the church - please be patient and take extra care.
When running along the River Thames footpath, there will be members of public enjoying the area too - you do not have sole use of this path, so please be considerate and sensible along this path.
5km runners will finish once they have crossed Sonning Lane outside Reading Blue Coat School and are back at Berkshire County Sports Club.
10km runners will run a lap of the sports field before exiting onto Sonning Lane, running in the road within the coned off area, before joining the A4.
All runners must stay on the footpath along the A4 and Pound Lane - you are not permitted to run in either of these roads. They are both open to traffic and footpaths are open to member of the public.
Please be cautious, safe and respectful. Enjoy the course!

Can I wear headphones during the event?
No, From 1 April 2016 a new rule regarding the wearing of head phones in road races was introduced into the 2016-2018 edition of the UKA Rules of Competition:
"The wearing of headphones, or similar devices, (other than those medically prescribed), is not permitted in races on any single carriageway road that is not wholly closed to traffic”Enforcement of this rule is a matter for the race director and referee and disqualification of runners who choose to ignore it is an option.
Is there parking at the start/finish area?
There is limited parking within Berkshire County Sports Club.
Reading Rugby Club has kindly offered parking space in its car park on Sonning Lane (Holme Park, Sonning Lane, RG4 6ST) and we ask that users make a small donation (£2) to the club using the collection tins available on the day.
Access to the event parking at Reading Rugby Club will only be possible via the A4, not via Pearson Lane.
Please do not park on Sonning Lane or at BCSC, these are part of the course and parking here will impact the event and the flow of traffic through the village.
PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN NEARBY RESIDENTIAL ROADS.
